Why we did not swear in Kano state party leaders – APC
National Headquarter of All Progressives Congress (APC) has stated why it did not swear in party leaders in Kano State.
The Daily Nigerian Hausa reports that the party on Thursday swore in state party leaders in 34 states except Kano and Sokoto.
Explaining the reasons behind the non swearing in of Kano party leaders on Friday in Abuja, the Secretary of the APC National Standing Committee, John Akpanudoedehe, said there was nothing to worry about at the stage.
According to him, the party had taken decision to suspend the swearing in of party leaders in Kano for the benefit of the party members, the state and the country as a whole.
He said the APC wanted peace and Kano seemed to be the party’s headquarters, adding that nothing would be done to undermine the party’s stability in the state.
Akpanudoedehe added that Kano State party leadership is in court, so the party has to wait for final judgment.
However, Akpanudoedehe did not say why the party did not swear in party leaders in Sokoto.
