Barcelona’s youngster has been in a good form and puts some stellar performances recently, especially when they played their arch-rival Real Madrid in the Super Cup De Espana semi in Saudi Arabia and that has caught the eyes of many European giant teams like Manchester United and Chelsea who takes caution of his situation with the Blaugrana and ready to lure him with mega offers.

Araujo has become a pivot and a mainstay in Barcelona’s lineup and has proved himself more than a capable partner of Gerard Pique in the heart of their defence and even proving his versatility by being in the right-back and left-back spots when needed.

Barcelona sporting director Mateu Alemany has made Araujo’s contract extension a priority considering his youth age and potential and also being that the defence has been a troubling position in the club for years now.

Araujo on his term wants to stay but he is holding out for a deal that reflects his performance and contribution to the club.
