Liverpool is all set to strengthen their squad in January with FC Porto Luis Diaz as the ideal man for their project.
In the early hours of the Friday morning, the news broke that the Colombian man currently on international duty in South America was set to become a new Reds player.
Portuguese publication O Jogo revealed that an agreement had been reached between the two clubs, and the deal is set to reach 60 million euros, with around 15 million in variables on top of an initial 45 million euro sum.
Luis Diaz was content with his stay in FC Porto and only willing to leave the club to a club that is competing for success in their domestic league and Champions league which he has seen the Reds as the ideal destination.
Tottenham had been interested in the player but now look to have been beaten to his signing by Liverpool, which would only add to their disappointing January transfer window.
