I do not support zoning in Nigeria, Dr. Sule Lamido
Former governor of Jigawa State Alhaji Sule Lamido has said he does not support zoning.
He made the remarks during an interview with BBC Hausa.
“When it comes to zoning, I would say I do not support. We have to look at the world as it is, everywhere; we are talking about human development. So we have to see what will develop Nigeria as our nation.” he said.
He added that in the current context, the most important factor in choosing a president is by virtue and not religion, ethnicity or region.
The former governor also lashed out at President Muhammadu Buhari over the removal of the fuel subsidy, saying that in the past Buhari had denied the PDP subsidy decision, but now he himself was talking about the fuel subsidy.
