APC crisis in Kano: Shekarau, Ganduje and others meet
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced a power-sharing deal between Kano State Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje and Kano Central Senator Ibrahim Shekarau.
Daily Nigerian Hausa reports that the two leaders have been summoned by the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Saturday, to Abuja for an emergency meeting.
Following the emergency meeting, chaired by Mai Mala Buni, Governor of Yobe State, the party decided to send a strong committee to Kano, to ensure that the party’s new allocation system is implemented properly.
In a brief statement after Saturday night’s meeting, Shekarau’s spokesman, Sule Yau Sule, confirmed that the party had developed a platform for inclusion in the APC’s affairs in Kano.
According to Sule, both sides will be notified on Monday.
“A strong committee will be set up by the party secretary and send to Kano to ensure compliance with the directives on Monday,” Sule said.
