A ship carrying thousands of sheep has sunk off the coast of Sudan on its way to Saudi Arabia, but the crew have survived, according to authorities.
The ship reportedly sank in Sudan’s Suakin region on its way to Saudi Arabia.
“The ship, named Badr 1, sank in the early hours of Sunday,” said a Sudanese port official, who asked not to be named.
“The train was carrying 15,800 sheep more than it could carry,” the official said.
